Choices

I made 2 decisions today.  One small and one big. As I was thinking about my choices, I began to see things I'd never seen before. How do our choices affect others? And how often do we feel that the major decision we have to make is always much more valuable than the one we think nothing about.

The small choice.
I gave blood today. Do you know what that did? That will save someones life. What a small, yet grand choice it was.

The big choice.
I accepted a promotion at work. This leaving me in PA longer than I anticipated. Will me staying here save someone's life?

In all honesty, it may be exactly what I needed to save my own.

Which one was more valuable?

Convo with Carling

I think we can all agree that some of our best moments in life (especially when we're away from friends and loved ones) is sharing epic tails and conversations that make one another laugh so hard we just might pee ourselves. The other moments are when you hear the coment, it just makes you smile and want to give them a hug and say, "That is exactly why I love you!"

So as I talked with dearest Carling on the phone tonight, some of the amazing things we said...

.::While cleaning the apt::.
"Very few things make me happier than when my apt is clean. I want it so clean it looks like I'm moving out."

.::Leering over  a spider in the window sill pondering if she should kill it or run away::.
"Britt, where do these spiders come from?! do they just appear!? And then they climb on your ceiling and crazy places!"

.::Getting around to washing the items we eat off of::.
"Wheres my apron? I should be wearing my apron! Its a sign I need to cook more."

.::Discussing work::.
"Brittany, I feel like I want to be retired."

Okay, Maybe you didn't laugh as hard as I did, but this one goes out to Ling Ling tonight!

<3 u!

.::AFarOffBritt::.

.::The Weird Perky Guy::.
"Britt, he said he looks forward to 'meating' me. Like M-E-A-T... Does that mean he wants to eat me??" "No, Carling, its a beef jerky company."
"OMG! Britt you are SO SMART!! What would I do without youhahahahahaha?"

.::After not finding a place to plug in her lights::.
"Britt... Do you think I could still return these lights even after I've like used them, and i pretty much shredded the box?"
"Hahahahahahahahhahaha  no......"

.::Reading a job description::.
C: "......walkin in between buildings..."
B: "Carling, they didn't say being able to walk between buildings is a quality, its a requirement. They're not going to hire you because you like walking in between buildings...."
C: "must be highly organized...  uhhhmmm I like walking..."

.::Reading more job descriptions::.
"There are some things in life you can't pretend....
Brittany, I can't pretend to cook!"

"I don't know how to fax, they'd have to teach me...   I think you just punch the number...."

.::A Personal assistant for  3 guys in their mid-20s::.
"Carling why would you offer to cook and clean for these guys when you don't even do your own house?"
"Because I'd get to be outsideeeeee"
"Carling, no. These guys do not live outside. They live inside. You cannot clean the inside of someone's house from outside!"

.::Working for Perky Jerky waiving, come eat the meat!!!!::.
"Brittany, I feel like your judging my California life."
"No just the jobs you want to work"
"Ha Is it sad that I went to college and this is all I want to do with my life?"

.::While searching on craigslist::.
"...I want to buy your shredder... Paper shredder..."

"You know what I want? Well, I want a lot of things, but I don't think that's too much to ask!"

3.12.13
.::99% sure she's buying an iphone 5::.
B: So are you gonna get the 5?
C: Uhmmm.. I think? Im not sure... like I haven't gone in and checked it out, but I'm like 99% sure I'm going to get it.
B: uhm, Carling, I'm not sure if you're good with statistics, but... thats like a "yes"

6.11.13
B: "I feel like people use YOLO as an excuse to get drunk, smoke weed, have sex, abort their children, and stick gum on the wall. YOLO."

God gave me this tonight. Its by Jason Mraz

"Details In The Fabric"
(feat. James Morrison)

Calm down
Deep breaths
And get yourself dressed instead
Of running around
And pulling on your threads
And breaking yourself up

If it's a broken part, replace it
If it's a broken arm, then brace it
If it's a broken heart, then face it

And hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything will be fine

Hang on
Help is on the way
And stay strong
I'm doing everything

Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything, everything will be fine
Everything

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling?

Are the things that make you blow
Hell, no reason, go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault
Of faulty manufacturing.

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Everything

Hold your own
And know your name
And go your own way

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling? (Go your own way)

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic (Go your own way)
Is it Mother Nature's sewing machine?

Are the things that make you blow (Hold your own, know your name)
Hell no reason go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault (Go your own way)
Of faulty manufacturing

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Hearts will hold

Workplace Debacles

In an office we explore our options when disagreeing with one another...

Option 1)
.::The Silent Dispute::.
This means we do our work the way we feel is correct. As the project comes to an end, the differences are so great everyone in the room must stop what they are doing, and redo the entire enterprise until its complete and in unison.
Everyone experiences deep feelings of angst and provocation.

Option 2)
.::A Tradtional Dispute::.
This is when a disagreement is arising and the people who are dedicated to the topic try to resolve this altercation by screaming at each other from across the room.
The spat may result in tears by either or both parties.

Option 3)
.::The Virtual Vendetta::.
Instead of remaining silent or voicing thoughts in a tumulous, cacophonous manner, we may choose a more classy and subtle approach. It occurs by dismissing one anothers feelings, activities, and values via email. Although the distance between subject A and subject B may only be from 3ft to 20 ft, moments are presented in which typing out aggressions in a manner to be sinister and effective. This type of quarrel typically brings out feelings of irritation, disbelief, and amusement.

Back to my desk job.

Had lunch outside today.

:: decided i want to work at a coffee shop again::
:: or perhaps i just want to do something fun and easy::
:: or maybe i just want to have minimal responsibility and work little and play much::
:: or i just miss summer time and want to be outside and when i think coffee shop, i think outside seating and fraps and smoothies::

maybe its a combination of all the above

6:19

Wow, everyday ceases to amaze me :]

Last night I had the time of my life line dancing at the Honky Tonk! Then we went to Chick's diner afterwards. While eating, a car had flipped in front of the diner. After all the excitement I made it home at nearly 415A!!

Now since today is Saturday, do u thunk I felt an obligation to get out of bed at whatever time my eyes first opened?!  Nooooppppeeee  I stayed in my bed til my body said, "time to wake up its time to get up its time to get up in the afternooooooooonnnnnnn!!"

so at 1245P I rolled myself out of bed, made breakfast and sat on my porch, just in time to a crack of thunder and the rain begin to fall.  Sweet wonderful bliss it is!

Now its a day off that I don't feel I'm leaving the apt anytime soon, so I need to make a list of things I want to accomplish today. Realistic things that is, because I would love to accomplish playing mud football, or biking, or a rod trip to NY for the day, but none of those things are going to happen, soooo here goes:

1) Paint the cover of my new sketch book :)
2) Deliver a Mary Kay order
3) Place a Mary Kay order
4) Skype with Carling
5) Tan
6) Dishes
7) Vacuuming
8) Nap in the Hammock
9) Make dinner
10) STARBUCKS!!!! :)

Well now that I've officially eaten breakfast, showered, and skyped Carling, time to start my day. At 6:19P.

I <3 it!   LOVE LIFE!

Twisted

As I walk down the long lone hallway to clock back in from lunch, there are times I want to stretch my arms out, swivel from side to side and pretend I'm an airplane :]

Loofas and Watermelons

Man lots of things tonight. Lets keep this short...

ajhasdfasdfifaskfla  slkfjas;ldiwrgaimxcnvx,mcncka;klvjalkhfamdoadgvapoJDGk  askgjals ALKSJFG ALFG kaj sflkgjsfd gjalfjkgalsndfle.

That was the day in a nutshell... there were lots of g's and j's involved :)

I'm just kidding... well I'll give you the highlights of post work...

As I just finished my dishes [understatement], ALL my dishes, after washing them nearly 3 times each, except my cutting board, that I think I washed only 5-7 times, not even kidding.

I made a wonderful roast which I didn't even eat for dinner... hmmm... I put all of that work into it and you know what sounded sooo good to eat? hmm? hmmmm?

Cereal. and hot tea. which is more like cool tea, because I have the window opened and its not warm, nor lukewarm, its officially cool. And I don't mean cool like the most awesomest thing thats ever been on this planet either.

I told my mother tonight I don't know what I'll do when I have a husband, or a family for that matter. In fact, I'm sure she's utterly humored. Mainly because we have this conversation EVERY TIME I'm in the kitchen and she's on the phone. I either talk about how the cat [my child] is irritating me to no end and I want to shake him [indication #1 I'm not ready for children] and if he barfs nowhere near his litter box again, I'm shoving his face in it and beating him with a piece of mail [indication #2], and about how I left the screen door open by accident and I saw where Beamer went out on the balcony [indication #3] and was near the edge [indication #4], so I use the "sneak up and scare him" tactic to get him to run the other direction [indication #5. That's not including the days I leave the house forgetting to feed him and actually debate if I should go back [indication #6] and give him food and water.

I'm pretty sure this list could go on a while, but the direction my mother and I's conversation went tonight was the fact I HATE doing dishes. I even hate loading the dishwasher. And if there is anything more I hate doing in the kitchen than doing the dishes is putting them away. I told her I got to find a man who will do dishes. I'll do laundry, cook, vacuum, clean, and even wipe the walls, but I don't think I can handle the dishes.

So much for this being short.... Where was I??

Oh! "As I just finished my dishes......" Thats where I was before I went off on my crazy tangent :)

Regardless, I'm laying on my love seat on my clean sheets and towels that I don't want to put away either and enjoying the beautiful weather outside, in fact I'm moving to the porch now, hang on.......

45 min later....

So I never made it to the porch [sad face]...
I made it to the kitchen where I set up my wireless printer/scanner and decided to scan pics I drew... which by the way, failed... grrrr

MY LIFE!  :)

Well, seeing as I didn't accomplish telling you anything about my day I'll leave you with this...

I love laying in bed with my bedroom window open and listening to the cars race a far off... When I close my eyes, I pretend I'm home, and I get that warm tingly happy feeling, that for that 15 second race, I feel like things were just the way they used to be...

The days I genuinely miss...

Goodnight all
